China fuel exports rise as diesel shipments surge amid tight stocks
Refiners shipped 4.65 million tons of refined products last month, with diesel exports up 88% to 810,000 tons.
China exported more fuel last month, sending 6.7% more refined products than in June while still posting a 12.9% decline year over year, according to Chinese customs data cited by OilPrice.
In total, Chinese refiners shipped 4.65 million tons of refined products including gasoline, diesel, jet fuel, and bunkering fuel.
Diesel exports were the standout, reaching 810,000 tons, up 88%, as the market grappled with a global squeeze on diesel stocks linked to wars in the Middle East and Ukraine.
OilPrice also noted that gasoline exports were 55.3% lower than a year earlier but rose 320% from June after China relaxed fuel export curbs, with jet fuel exports down 33% year over year but up 42% month over month.
