EigenRisk partners with Weatherwatch to add hail data to EigenPrism
The deal will incorporate Weatherwatch’s post-event hail footprints into EigenRisk’s EigenPrism platform to help insurance and risk teams assess hail events in Australia and respond faster after severe weather.
EigenRisk, a catastrophe risk management technology provider, has signed an agreement with Weatherwatch, an Australian firm focused on storm and weather risk management, to expand data inside its EigenPrism platform.
The partnership will bring Weatherwatch’s hail event footprints into EigenPrism. EigenRisk said the added information is aimed at improving how insurance and risk professionals assess hail events in Australia and support faster responses following severe weather.
Weatherwatch’s offerings include HailTracker, which provides hail forecasting, alerts, and real-time mapping, as well as MetCentre, a weather forecasting system. The company said its services are designed to help organisations monitor weather conditions and make decisions based on severe weather risks.
Under the agreement, Weatherwatch’s post-event hail footprints will be incorporated into EigenPrism, combining Australia-specific hail and weather data with EigenRisk’s catastrophe risk management capabilities, according to the companies.
