Oracle extends Oracle AI Database availability across 22 AWS regions
Oracle says Oracle AI Database@AWS expanded to 22 AWS regions, including Asia Pacific, Europe, and the Americas, about a year after general availability.
Oracle is extending its partnership with Amazon Web Services by expanding the availability of its Oracle AI Database@AWS, which it says now has enhanced capabilities available across 22 AWS regions.
According to Oracle product management executive Nathan Thomas, the offering reached “global scale” about one year after general availability and is being used for business-critical workloads, spanning Asia Pacific, Europe, and the Americas.
The move is positioned as part of Oracle’s effort to shift its database from a traditional system of record toward an AI-native data platform, with the company also referencing the rollout of Oracle AI Database 26ai, which replaces Oracle Database 23ai.
Yahoo Finance also noted that ORCL stock has been under pressure year to date, down 22.8%, and that the company’s AI database could become a new value driver even as investors have raised concerns about risk factors such as customer concentration.
