Russian strike in Ukraine's Kharkiv region kills 10, 17 wounded
Kyiv said the attack hit a busy intersection in Pechenihy, with emergency services reporting destroyed buildings and fires.
A Russian rocket strike on a village in Ukraine's Kharkiv region killed 10 people and injured 17 others, according to Kyiv, with the Ukrainian authorities saying they would respond.
Reuters reports that the strike hit Pechenihy, a village about 40 km from the Russian border, and was carried out at a busy intersection with a post office and stores near residential buildings.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said the location targeted was surrounded only by residential buildings, while images from the scene showed rescuers working amid destroyed structures, smouldering rubble, and cars on fire.
