Vietnam completes E10 rollout across urban gasoline, starting June 2026
The mandate is expected to create annual ethanol demand of 240 million gallons, with the US Grains & BioProducts Council citing $32 million in US corn ethanol exports to Vietnam since the policy announcement.
Vietnam has completed its rollout across all urban areas of a mandatory E10 blending requirement for its most popular gasoline grade, with the program expected to raise annual ethanol demand to 240 million gallons, according to World Grain.
The requirement builds on Vietnam’s existing E5 RON92 mandate from 2018. Beginning in June 2026, 100% of gasoline grades sold in Vietnam will contain ethanol, the outlet reported.
World Grain said the US Grains & BioProducts Council played a key role in advancing the policy by supporting its development and announcement. The council worked with the Foreign Agricultural Service of the US Department of Agriculture in Vietnam over the past seven years, including technical and policy workshops and trade missions.
The council estimates US corn ethanol exports to Vietnam since the policy announcement have reached 16.1 million gallons, valued at $32 million. It also said the result followed a $52,768 investment of MAP and RAPP funds in 2025, producing a return of $606 for every $1 invested.
