Bitcoin spot ETF inflows rise $137 million, but still show net outflows

Farside data show Aug. 17 inflows of $137.3 million came mainly from Fidelity’s FBTC, while ETFs still logged a cumulative $247.9 million net outflow over the prior six sessions.

CryptoSlate reports that U.S. spot Bitcoin ETF inflows totaled $137.3 million on Aug. 17, after five straight sessions of net outflows.

The session’s inflow was highly concentrated: Fidelity’s FBTC accounted for $111.9 million, or 81.5% of the displayed total, with ARKB adding $14.2 million and MSBT adding $11.2 million.

CryptoSlate said other entries in the row were shown as 0.0, and that BlackRock’s IBIT did not have a numeric entry, leaving the broader participation signal unclear and the session total considered provisional.

Following a five-session net outflow of $385.2 million, the Aug. 17 inflow recouped just 35.6% of that loss, leaving the funds with a cumulative $247.9 million net outflow across the six sessions cited. The outlet also cautioned that the data cannot indicate who bought the ETFs or prove the flows drove Bitcoin price moves.
