Howden Re appoints David Simpson to expand Nordic and Europe broking
Simpson, who will join Howden Re International in early 2027, is expected to help grow Nordic property and casualty reinsurance business from the firm’s London base.
Reinsurance broker Howden Re has appointed David Simpson to its International broking team, based in London, with a planned start in early 2027 after he completes his contractual obligations with his current employer.
Howden Re said the move is intended to strengthen its European offering, with the London team working alongside regional offices to deliver fully integrated broking and advisory across its products and sources of capital.
The company highlighted Simpson’s nearly two decades of reinsurance experience, noting his expertise in Nordic property and casualty reinsurance.
Sebastian Cook, Deputy Chief Executive Officer for Howden Re International, said the firm is continuing to build its market position across the Nordic territory and Europe, and that Simpson’s addition reflects the company’s ongoing investment in capabilities and service levels as clients trust it with more business.
