S. Nashville plan targets hotel, apartments and a central ice rink
The proposal would replace the current La Quinta Inn and Bedroom Nashville Event Venue on Sidco Drive, while nearby Cracker Barrel and Waffle House locations would remain.
ConnectCRE reports that a development team is advancing a mixed-use project in south Nashville that would combine two apartment buildings, ground-level retail, and a 16-story hotel.
The proposal, now moving through Nashville’s approval process, is tied to entities associated with Darshan Patel and Richard Epperson and is set to go before the Metro Planning Department on Sept. 24.
According to ConnectCRE, the project site at 4311 and 4319 Sidco Drive would feature a large central plaza with renderings showing an outdoor ice rink.
The properties currently include a La Quinta Inn and the Bedroom Nashville Event Venue, which would need to be demolished for the redevelopment, while a Cracker Barrel and a Waffle House located on either side of the site are expected to stay in place.
