Shiprocket shares debut with 35% premium over IPO price
The IPO was priced at ₹92-₹97 per share and involved a fresh issue of 9.13 crore shares plus an offer for sale of 7.55 crore shares.
LiveMint Markets reports that Shiprocket Limited saw a strong market debut on Wednesday, 19 August, with its shares listing at about a 35% premium over the IPO price of ₹97 per share.
Shiprocket opened at ₹131 on the NSE and ₹129.50 on the BSE, which the outlet said corresponded to a 33.5% premium versus the IPO listing price. It listed after an estimated GMP of ₹35, pointing to an expected listing price near ₹132.
The outlet also noted that the IPO’s issue comprised a fresh issue of 9.13 crore shares worth ₹885.60 crore and an offer for sale of 7.55 crore shares worth ₹731.98 crore.
LiveMint Markets said the company plans to use net fresh-issue proceeds to enhance its technology platform, scale operations, and support growth initiatives, including ₹294 crore for marketing and brand building and ₹211 crore to strengthen technology infrastructure and capabilities.
