The appointments include Lisa Sun as President for Mainland China, Hong Kong and Macau, and John Wu as interim Responsible Person for AIG China, subject to regulatory approval.
AIG announced leadership changes across its Greater China operations, naming Lisa Sun as President of Mainland China, Hong Kong and Macau and CEO of AIG Hong Kong, subject to regulatory approval, according to Reinsurance News.
Scott Leney, AIG Asia Pacific Regional President, said Sun brings experience, established relationships with clients and brokers, and a track record of supporting business performance, and that her expanded role will oversee AIG businesses across Mainland China, Hong Kong and Macau.
AIG said the appointments are intended to strengthen coordination across its Asia Pacific operations, with an emphasis on cross-border collaboration, innovation, and continued support for clients and distribution partners.
The company also appointed John Wu as Interim Responsible Person for AIG China. Wu has been with AIG China for nearly 20 years, has led roles including Accident and Health leadership, and was appointed Deputy General Manager in 2025.
