Century Marketplace in Brooklyn adds grocer and Burlington to tenant roster

The $130-million mixed-use project at 458 86th St. is now 65% pre-leased after the two new leases total 60,112 square feet.

MCB Real Estate and Osiris Ventures secured leases with a national grocery anchor and the designer-discount retailer Burlington at Century Marketplace, a $130-million mixed-use redevelopment in Brooklyn’s Bay Ridge neighborhood. The project repurposes the Century 21 department store assemblage at 458 86th St. across 14 lots.

The grocery tenant is described as the first national grocer to serve the immediate Southwest Brooklyn trade area, and Burlington has also signed on. Together, the two leases total 60,112 square feet, supporting Century Marketplace’s 120,000-square-foot footprint.

With the new commitments, Century Marketplace is now 65% pre-leased, ConnectCRE reported. MCB principal Drew Gorman said the project shows the team’s ability to execute complex structuring while bringing retailers to a dense market and reigniting a commercial corridor in Southwest Brooklyn.
