Intel and AMD drop as 13F filings spotlight concentrated chip bets
NVIDIA’s 13F shows it holds about $30.0B in Intel shares, worth 47.3% of its disclosed equity portfolio as chip stocks slid on higher Treasury yields.
Intel and AMD fell about 4% in early Tuesday trading as rising Treasury yields pressured high-multiple technology stocks, with the broader chip group also turning lower, according to Yahoo Finance.
Shares of Intel were down 4% to $98.60 and Advanced Micro Devices dropped 4% to $487.89, while NVIDIA slid 2% to $220.22, with the declines coming after sharp 2026 gains through Monday.
The selloff also coincided with quarterly 13F filings that highlighted unusually concentrated positions in Intel. NVIDIA disclosed 214,776,632 Intel shares valued at about $29.99B, equal to 47.27% of its disclosed equity portfolio, while the filing is a point-in-time snapshot as of June 30 and excludes non-U.S. holdings and index managers.
SoftBank also disclosed a heavy Intel weighting, with 86,956,522 Intel shares valued at about $12.14B, representing 66.81% of its disclosed U.S. equity portfolio. The article notes this follows SoftBank’s $2B strategic investment in Intel that closed in the third quarter of 2025 and references SoftBank’s first-quarter fiscal 2026 net income of 347.
