Anthony Mongiello named COO of Bermuda reinsurance firm Conduit Re
The appointment is effective immediately, pending Bermuda immigration approval, and covers operations, IT, underwriting operations, and claims.
Conduit Holdings, the ultimate parent of Bermuda-based multi-line reinsurer Conduit Re, has appointed Anthony Mongiello as chief operating officer, effective immediately.
The company said the move is subject to Bermuda immigration approval and follows the retirement of Stuart Quinlan earlier this year.
As COO, Mongiello will oversee Conduit’s Operations, Information Technology, Underwriting Operations and Claims functions, and will join the Executive Committee, according to Reinsurance News.
Conduit noted that Mongiello has more than 25 years of experience in insurance, reinsurance, and financial services, including his most recent COO role at Aspen for reinsurance and capital markets. The CEO, Neil Eckert, said the hire brings expertise in managing reinsurance operations to support the firm’s continued growth and long-term strategic development.
