Sedgwick, ALKEME and ICW Specialty expand leadership and new platforms
ICW Specialty’s new Legacy Solutions platform, focused on workers’ compensation loss portfolio transfers, is expected to go to market in September.
Insurance Business reports that Sedgwick appointed Jason Rogers as managing director, Carrier & Captive Solutions, a newly created role overseeing the claims administrator’s work across captives, insurance carriers, MGAs and MGUs. Rogers, who has more than 20 years of experience across underwriting, brokerage and program administration, will report to Emily Fink, Sedgwick’s global chief marketing officer and president of Growth Markets.
The same outlet said Sedgwick’s move is intended to provide brokers and MGAs working with captives a clearer single point of contact within its growth platform rather than fragmented relationships. Fink said the appointment supports the company’s commitment to an area she described as an important growth focus for Sedgwick.
Insurance Business also noted ALKEME Insurance has named four executives to newly formalized leadership roles, including Steve Stanfield as chief operating officer, Josh Benveniste as president and chief of staff, Troy Chakarun as chief commercial and innovation officer, and Chad Roghair as chief business development officer. The staffing changes come as the brokerage surpasses 100 locations across more than 35 states.
For ICW Specialty, the outlet said the firm introduced Legacy Solutions to help self-insured organizations manage and transfer long-term liabilities, with an expected go to market in September. The platform will target loss portfolio transfers tied largely to workers’ compensation claims, and ICW Specialty named industry veteran Lisa Walsh as its head.
