Ameritas appoints Jake McCoy VP of actuarial for individual insurance
The new role will have him lead financial strategy and support growth and profitability for the disability income business.
Ameritas has appointed Jake McCoy as vice president of actuarial for its individual insurance business, tasking him with leading financial strategy and supporting growth and profitability in the company’s disability income line, Coverager reports.
McCoy joins Ameritas after leadership roles at Principal Financial Group, Lincoln Financial, and Equitable, and he holds a degree in actuarial science from the University of Northern Iowa.
Coverager adds that Ameritas is also focused on streamlining data exchange between carriers and partners to reduce inefficiencies during benefits enrollment.
The outlet further notes that the company has been the subject of investigations in other states related to allegations of deceptive sales practices.
