Altcoin-focused crypto ETFs draw nearly $90M in weekly inflows

XRP products led with $39.78 million of net inflows for the week ended Aug. 21, helping push weekly trading volume to a record $271.74 million.

US-listed crypto exchange-traded funds outside of Bitcoin and Ethereum pulled in nearly $90 million last week, as a market rally broadened demand beyond the two largest coins, according to CryptoSlate. The inflow surge covered XRP, Solana, Chainlink, and Hyperliquid.

XRP products attracted $39.78 million of net inflows for the week ended Aug. 21, marking their strongest showing since the week ended May 15, when they brought in about $60.5 million. Solana funds followed with $28.34 million, while Chainlink and Hyperliquid products added $13.35 million and $3.89 million, respectively.

CryptoSlate also reported that the broader rebound was led by Bitcoin and Ethereum funds, with spot Bitcoin ETFs pulling in $1.92 billion during the week and Ethereum products adding about $697 million, for combined inflows of $2.61 billion. The article said weekly trading volume reached a record $271.74 million, and highlighted that XRP’s rally coincided with the acceleration in ETF allocations.

In price terms cited by CryptoSlate, XRP climbed roughly 50% from below $1 during the week to as high as $1.60, before retreating to $1.49 as of press time. Solana jumped about 24% and briefly traded above $100 for the first time since February, then slipped back to around $93.
