ANV to acquire Car Care Plan to expand UK motor warranty business

Car Care Plan issues more than 1.5 million UK policies annually and will add underwriting and after-sales administration capabilities across about 100 countries.

ANV Group Holdings agreed to acquire Car Care Plan, the UK motor warranty managing general agent, from AmTrust Financial Services, expanding ANV's specialty insurance platform. Financial terms were not disclosed, and the deal is expected to close around the end of September.

Car Care Plan, founded in 1976, issues more than 1.5 million policies annually in the UK and serves more than 30 original equipment manufacturers, over 2,500 dealers, and customers in roughly 100 countries. Its business includes product design, underwriting, claims handling, and after-sales administration, and the transaction also includes Dent Wizard Ventures in the UK, along with CCP's overseas subsidiaries in the US, Europe, Turkey, and China.

The acquisition keeps Dent Wizard Ventures inside the same platform as the warranty book, reflecting how OEM warranty programs often bundle cosmetic repair services with mechanical coverage for end-to-end administration. AmTrust will remain underwriting partner for CCP under a long-term capacity agreement.

The deal arrives as MGA consolidation continues, with mergers and acquisitions increasing in number and size through 2025 and into 2026, as private equity firms and carriers extend their reach. The global auto extended warranty market was valued at about $34.9 billion in 2025 and is projected to reach $47.9 billion by 2030, growing at around 6.5% annually, according to The Business Research Company, citing drivers like rising repair costs and longer vehicle ownership periods.
