Neura Robotics to acquire full control of Adlatus in physical AI push
The deal expands Neura's physical AI ecosystem, and follows its pending ACTIVE Shuttle takeover from Bosch Rexroth effective Oct. 1.
German robotics startup Neura Robotics said it will take full ownership of Adlatus, a maker of autonomous cleaning and sweeping robots for industries including logistics, healthcare, and public spaces, marking its fifth acquisition in 16 months.
The company framed the purchase as more than adding another cleaning robot, saying it aims to “give machines like this a new brain” by enabling robots to understand what they see and what they need to do, as part of its physical AI platform.
Neura said the Adlatus unit will be integrated into its physical AI ecosystem that links mobile platforms, industrial robots, and humanoids on shared infrastructure.
The acquisition comes after Neura disclosed its takeover of Bosch Rexroth’s driverless ACTIVE Shuttle, effective Oct. 1, and follows other deals including Neura’s purchase of Ek Robotics and the development division of Huber Automotive. Neura also cited fundraising capacity, saying it raised up to $1.4 billion for its Series C in June to fund acquisitions and development.
