Allianz Trade names Scott Munafò China CEO in Shanghai role
The appointment takes effect September 1, 2026, with Munafò leading Allianz Trade’s China operations and broker and commercial distribution strategy.
Allianz Trade in Asia Pacific has appointed Scott Munafò as China CEO, a Shanghai-based role effective September 1, 2026, according to Reinsurance News.
Munafò has been with Allianz Trade since 2015, working within the Multinationals team and progressing through roles that include Regional Account Director for Northern Europe in 2021.
In 2025, he was appointed Group Head of Broker Management and Partnerships, where he helped define and execute Allianz Trade’s global commercial and distribution strategy and strengthen broker partnerships across multiple regions.
Allianz Trade’s Asia Pacific Regional CEO Rodrigo Jimenez said Munafò’s international experience and commercial leadership position him to lead China operations, while Munafò said the insurer has been part of China’s trade story for nearly two decades and pledged to keep creating lasting value.
