Bitcoin spot ETF inflows hit $2.26B in six days

Inflows to US spot Bitcoin ETFs added $337.6 million on Monday, helping the funds build a roughly $2.72 billion inflow total for August so far, according to CryptoRank.

US spot Bitcoin exchange traded funds extended their inflow run to six straight trading days on Monday, adding $337.6 million to bring the streak to roughly $2.26 billion, according to CryptoSlate.

CryptoRank data cited by CryptoSlate shows Bitcoin ETFs have pulled in about $2.72 billion during August, already above April's prior full month high of roughly $1.97 billion. Nearly $1.92 billion of that capital arrived last week as Bitcoin surged through $70,000 and moved toward $80,000.

BlackRock's iShares Bitcoin Trust, IBIT, captured much of the renewed demand, drawing about $1.33 billion last week and another $208.9 million on Monday, representing around 62% of that day's ETF inflows. Fidelity's FBTC followed with about $104.6 million.

The renewed activity has also shown up in trading and options, with CheckOnChain data cited by CryptoSlate indicating US spot Bitcoin ETFs generated about $22.1 billion in turnover last week, more than triple the roughly $6.9 billion from the prior week. CryptoSlate also reported that call option volume on IBIT surged to a record 1.58 million contracts on Wednesday, the highest daily total on record, as Bitcoin pushed higher.
