Einride plans Tesla Semi rollout to scale its electric trucking network

The company says a third-party financed deployment of 500 Tesla Semi trucks will begin in September and expand its electric fleet to nearly three times its current size.

Einride AB plans to deploy 500 Tesla (TSLA) Semi trucks across North America, starting in September and rolling the expansion out over 24 months, according to Yahoo Finance.

The rollout is described as third-party financed and intended to support Amazon.com (AMZN) and other customers on major freight corridors in California, Texas, New Jersey, Illinois, and Georgia.

Einride’s electric trucking network is designed around its Saga AI fleet intelligence platform, which coordinates charging, energy costs, and routing across the fleet rather than managing each truck as a standalone asset. The article says Saga has supported more than 19 million electric miles and 42,000 optimization sessions globally.

The company also frames the move as a step toward converting about $800 million in potential long-term annual recurring revenue into real freight capacity, while noting shares have gained on the deployment news and improving H1 growth.
