Real REMAX Group merger closes, combined shares start trading Aug. 25
Trading for Real’s legacy shares ends today, and the new company begins Nasdaq trading on Aug. 25 under ticker REAX after a 10-for-1 share consolidation.
HousingWire reports that Real REMAX Group completed the merger between The Real Brokerage and REMAX Holdings. The companies said trading for the legacy shares ended at the close of trading today on Nasdaq and the New York Stock Exchange for the respective securities.
Beginning Aug. 25, 2026, the combined company will trade on Nasdaq as REAX. Real REMAX Group said the new ticker reflects the merger arrangement and that former Real shareholders received one share of Real REMAX Group common stock for each Real common share held, following a 10-for-1 share consolidation.
The merged platform positions itself as a technology-enabled, global real estate business, citing more than 180,000 agents across over 120 countries and territories, including more than 100,000 in the U.S. and Canada. HousingWire also notes the companies plan to combine Real’s cloud-based brokerage and agent compensation model with REMAX’s global franchise network.
In a statement, Real REMAX Group’s chairman and CEO Tamir Poleg said the deal is a milestone toward building a technology platform for real estate professionals and improving the consumer experience. The companies added that their goal is to integrate brokerage, franchising, and ancillary services with proprietary technology.
