Solace Care raises €2.1 million to expand death-support platform

The company says it surpassed 25,000 covered lives in its first year and plans to use the funding to deepen Nordic partnerships and expand into Denmark, the Netherlands, and the UK.

Stockholm-based Solace Care has raised €2.1 million in pre-seed funding to expand its digital legacy-planning and bereavement-support platform, according to Coverager.

Spintop Ventures led the round, with participation from Plug and Play, Further Than Capital, Wave Ventures, several insurance executives, and angel investors. Solace Care, founded in January 2025, provides services before and after a policyholder’s death, including a platform to store documents and instructions, create a will and future power of attorney, and share information with family members.

After a death, the platform guides families through administrative tasks involving banks, insurers, pension providers, tax authorities, and other organizations. Coverager notes the service is distributed through life insurers, pension providers, and brokers and can be offered under a partner’s brand.

The company says it surpassed 25,000 covered lives during its first year and currently serves Sweden, Finland, and Norway. It plans to use the funding to deepen Nordic partnerships, expand into Denmark, the Netherlands, and the UK, and hire across product and commercial operations.
