AEG and Archer Aviation plan Downtown Los Angeles electric air taxi vertiport

AEG and Archer Aviation plan to develop Downtown Los Angeles’ first vertiport, a vertical takeoff and landing site for electric air taxis, at L.A. LIVE, according to ConnectCRE.

Under the agreement brokered by AEG Global Partnerships, Archer will serve as the exclusive air taxi partner for the sports and entertainment district, which covers about four million square feet.

ConnectCRE reports the teams have finished an initial feasibility study for the site, including land-use and airspace reviews, power availability, and community impact.

The next phase is underway, focusing on the operational approach and guest experience as the partners work toward establishing the site as Los Angeles’ first downtown vertiport, with plans to be ready in time for the LA28 Games.
