CTC Insurance moves direct bill reconciliation in-house with Applied Recon

The change eliminates reliance on outsourced manual processing, which CTC said previously covered nearly 40.0% of its direct bill reconciliations.

Applied Systems announced that CTC Insurance, a full-service agency founded in 1913, has selected Applied Recon to bring its direct bill reconciliation entirely in-house, replacing outsourced manual processing.

Coverager reports that Applied Recon uses policy number smart matching to clear direct bill items directly against CTC’s own agency records, automating matches even when statement and record formatting differ.

CTC said the prior setup forced its team to spend time mailing statements and untangling email exchanges over mismatched policy numbers, which it linked to missed renewals and entry errors.

The company also said that handling reconciliation in-house gives its finance team more timely visibility into cash, enabling mismatches to be caught when they occur rather than at month-end close, according to Coverager.
