Gatik announces $200 million Series D for autonomous trucking
The round, led by Qatar Investment Authority and Koch Disruptive Technologies, includes Intact, and the company expects more than 500 new jobs by 2025.
Self-driving trucking startup Gatik announced a $200 million Series D funding round led by Qatar Investment Authority and Koch Disruptive Technologies. Millennium Management, ARK Invest, Intact Private Capital, and other investors also participated, according to Coverager.
Coverager reports Gatik was founded in 2017 and has raised total funding of $154.16 million, building what it describes as a commercially focused autonomous freight business. The company said it has more than $600 million in contracted revenue, with 85,000 fully driverless orders completed and a 99% on-time delivery record.
Gatik said its driverless trucks operate on high-frequency regional routes across North America, moving goods between distribution centers and stores. The company plans to expand from dozens of driverless trucks to thousands in the years ahead.
The company expects its operations to create over 500 new jobs by 2025, covering operational, technical, and business roles. Gatik framed the funding as support to scale its AI-driven technology across live supply chains, while Intact called it validation of Gatik’s execution record and customer traction.
