Hong Kong to unveil first five-year plan and policy address on Sept. 16
The chief executive plans to present the documents at the Legislative Council on Sept. 16 and hold a question and answer session there the next day.
Hong Kong will unveil its first five-year plan and its annual policy address on September 16, Chief Executive John Lee Ka-chiu announced, during consultations with residents and inspections of community services.
Lee said he will deliver both documents at the Legislative Council on September 16, then attend a question and answer session there the following day.
The SCMP Economy reports that Lee made the remarks after visiting lower-income households and community services for elderly residents, with a focus on easing the burden on older people and their carers to support ageing in place.
Lee said in a social media post that enabling elderly people to live healthily and with dignity in familiar communities is a key direction of the city’s elderly care policy.
