OCVibe to add five dining concepts to Katella Commons market hall
The 50,000-square-foot Katella Commons market hall is slated to open in early 2027 as part of the Samueli family’s $5 billion Anaheim mixed-use district.
The Samueli family is expanding OCVibe, a $5 billion mixed-use development around the Honda Center in Anaheim, Calif., with five additional restaurant concepts for Katella Commons, a 50,000-square-foot market hall. Don Churros Gomez, MFK | Modern Filipino Kitchen, Mojo, Pull and Roll, and Gelato Paradiso will bring Mexican, Filipino, Northern Chinese and Italian options to the 21-kitchen Katella Commons lineup.
OCVibe Senior Vice President Scott Frick told Commercial Observer the project’s ownership structure is designed to reduce tenants’ upfront costs by funding Katella Commons down to kitchen equipment, so new operators can avoid substantial fitting out expenses. The plan aims to make OCVibe a year-round destination, supported by residential, office, hotel and entertainment components.
Katella Commons is expected to open in early 2027, with OCVibe’s concert hall, which can accommodate 5,000 people, also scheduled to debut then. The development is planned to include more than 2,500 residences, more than 35 dining concepts, three entertainment venues and 20 acres of parks and open space, with completion targeted for 2033.
