Real REMAX Group begins Nasdaq trading after REMAX acquisition closes

The Nasdaq-listed combined company, trading under ticker REAX, authorized up to $450 million for share repurchases and started at $24.11 a share on its first day.

HousingWire reports that the combined Real REMAX Group began trading on Nasdaq on Tuesday under the ticker REAX, after The Real Brokerage closed its acquisition of REMAX Holdings on Monday.

The outlet says the stock opened at $24.11 per share Tuesday morning and rose to roughly $27 by mid-afternoon. Real previously traded on Nasdaq, while REMAX Holdings traded on the New York Stock Exchange.

HousingWire adds that the deal included election-based consideration with proration and authorized up to $450 million in share repurchases. The companies first announced the proposed merger in April.

In a letter to agents, brokers, franchisees, and employees sent Monday, Real CEO and founder Tamir Poleg described the close as an “exciting day,” and said the transaction thesis is growth rather than consolidation, with plans to keep Real and REMAX brands intact while sharing tools and network value across the combined agent base.
