$300M McKinney amphitheater set to open early 2027
The 20,000-seat venue is in a public-private partnership, with its first show expected soon after construction wraps in the first quarter of 2027.
Venu Holdings is building a $300 million, 20,000-seat amphitheater in McKinney, and expects it to open for its first concert in early 2027, according to ConnectCRE.
The Dallas Business Journal reports that a parking garage is near completion, while the seating bowl and canopy are taking shape.
ConnectCRE says the first show is expected to take place shortly after construction wraps up in the first quarter of 2027, but Venu has not yet announced an opening act or a naming-rights sponsor.
The project is being developed through a public-private partnership involving Venu, the City of McKinney, the McKinney Economic Development Corp., and the McKinney Community Development Corp.
