Seattle private school buys 3-acre site for campus expansion
Cristo Rey Jesuit Seattle High School plans a 21,000-square-foot Norcliffe Academic Center, with groundbreaking scheduled for mid-September.
Connect Commercial Real Estate reports that Cristo Rey Jesuit Seattle High School, a private school in Seattle’s Rainier Beach neighborhood, has purchased a three-acre site for $3.6 million to expand its campus for more students.
The school at 10001 57th Ave. S. plans to break ground on a new 21,000-square-foot academic building, the Norcliffe Academic Center, scheduled for mid-September.
Public47 Architects is listed as the designer and Exxel Pacific as the general contractor. The site includes a convent that the school is using as office space.
The transaction is tied to the St. Paul Church campus where the school currently operates, and under a deal with the Archdiocese of Seattle the school has an option to acquire the remaining acreage for an additional $3.4 million.
