University of Antelope Valley sells former campus for $14.4M
The 88,000-square-foot, roughly 6.4-acre property in Lancaster closed in 2024 and is set to be repositioned into a regional services hub with LA County.
University of Antelope Valley has sold a hotel-turned-university campus for $14.4 million, marking the next phase for the property in Lancaster, according to Bisnow.
The transaction covers an 88K SF former campus on approximately 6.4 acres. The university closed in 2024, and the buyer, 44049 Sierra Hwy Propco LLC, plans to reposition the vacant site as a regional hub delivering community support services, workforce development programming, and administrative help for residents in partnership with Los Angeles County.
Bisnow also detailed other Southern California transactions, including CBRE facilitating a $21 million sale of a 60-unit multifamily property in Torrance and Marcus & Millichap arranging the sale of a 21-unit apartment building in Los Angeles for $8.7 million, or just under $412,000 per unit.
The article further noted Hanover Co. starting construction on a roughly 200K SF ground-up industrial development in Simi Valley, with an anticipated completion in summer 2027, and described a joint $74.7 million senior construction loan involving J.P. Morgan and Canyon Partners Real Estate LLC.
