Stocks to watch Aug 31 as Royal Orchid, Cupid, Mahindra updates
Mahindra is rolling out its Battery-as-a-Service program across its entire electric Origin SUV lineup, with prices for the BE 6 SPORTEQ starting at ₹11.45 lakh.
Investors in India are set to track several companies on Monday, August 31, after announcements made following the Friday, August 28, close. LiveMint Markets said the Nifty 50 rose 0.35% to 24,175 and the Sensex gained 0.43% to 77,261, but both indices remained on track for a third straight weekly decline.
The market focus includes Royal Orchid Hotels, which has started the process to obtain a discotheque licence for its property on Golf Avenue in Bengaluru. Cupid, meanwhile, said its board has granted in-principle approval to set up a manufacturing venture in South Africa with a local partner, with Cupid expected to hold up to a 49% stake.
Mahindra & Mahindra is expanding its Battery-as-a-Service programme across its entire electric Origin SUV portfolio, including the BE6 SPORTEQ, XEV 9S and XEV 9e. Under the programme, customers can buy the BE 6 SPORTEQ starting at ₹11.45 lakh and pay an effective battery usage cost of ₹3.75 per km, according to LiveMint Markets.
Other items on the watchlist include PVR INOX, which opened a new six-screen cinema in Bengaluru, and Aurobindo Pharma, where the US FDA completed an inspection of an API manufacturing unit of Apitoria Pharma, a wholly owned subsidiary. The inspection ended with three observations that the company said were procedural in nature, LiveMint Markets added.
