Alessio Sanfilippo named CEO of Redfin, effective immediately

Sanfilippo previously led insights work at Meta’s Reality Labs, and Redfin is part of Rocket Companies after its July 2025 acquisition.

Rocket Companies has named Alessio Sanfilippo as Chief Executive Officer of Redfin, effective immediately, according to Redfin News.

Sanfilippo joins Redfin from Meta, where he served as Vice President of Insights for Reality Labs. Redfin said he brings more than 20 years of experience across product, data, analytics, and technology, including leadership roles tied to data science, engineering, and user research at Reality Labs. The company also cited past work that supported WhatsApp’s U.S. growth, including shaping product strategy as it expanded to more than 100 million monthly active users in the country.

Rocket Companies CEO Varun Krishna said Sanfilippo will help connect Redfin’s home search, brokerage, mortgage, closing, and servicing into a single experience. Redfin described Sanfilippo as a longtime customer who has used the platform for more than a decade and through multiple home purchases, saying Redfin has helped make the process of buying a home easier to understand.

Redfin is described as one of America’s largest real estate brokerages, operating the country’s most visited brokerage website. Rocket Companies acquired Redfin in July 2025, and Redfin and Rocket Mortgage recently introduced Super Savings, offering homebuyers and sellers up to $20,000 in combined lender credits and commission savings when working with both companies.
