US 10-year yield hits highest since January 2025 as oil rises
Rising oil prices are intensifying inflation concerns, pushing the S&P 500 down 0.7% on the day.
US Treasury yields moved higher on Tuesday, with the 10-year note reaching its highest level since January 2025 as investors tracked a rebound in oil prices.
CNBC Markets said the selloff in bonds was tied to renewed Middle East tensions, which have contributed to higher crude and renewed worries about inflation.
LiveMint Markets reported that the move in yields weighed on Wall Street, with the S&P 500 falling 0.7% as higher rates pressured equities.
