Bitcoin falls below $76,500 as Iran strikes push oil higher

CoinDesk data shows Brent rose past $93 a barrel and the 10-year Treasury yield climbed toward 4.8%, pressuring broader risk assets.

Bitcoin fell to below $76,500, down 1% since midnight UTC and about 3% over the past week, as renewed U.S. strikes on Iranian targets weighed on risk sentiment, according to CoinDesk.

The move came alongside a sharp jump in energy prices, with Brent crude rising past $93 a barrel and WTI nearing $90, while the U.S. Dollar Index increased 0.13% since midnight.

Higher energy costs also lifted the 10-year Treasury yield toward 4.8% on inflation implications, CoinDesk reported, as Nasdaq 100 index futures fell 0.31% and S&P 500 futures were down 0.11%.

CoinDesk data also showed losses led by DASH, down 4.72% to $41.82, while XRP dropped 1.72% to $1.3281, extending a 6.22% weekly decline.
