Hong Kong tram service suspended between Wan Chai and Admiralty after power fault

The Transport Department said the suspension, between Admiralty MTR station and Tonnochy Road, started at 9:37pm and followed a similar outage the previous night.

Tram services between Wan Chai and Admiralty in Hong Kong were suspended Tuesday night due to a power failure, according to SCMP Economy.

The Hong Kong Transport Department issued a special traffic bulletin at 9.37pm after being notified by Hong Kong Tramways that both eastbound and westbound services between Admiralty MTR station and Tonnochy Road were halted because of an electricity fault.

SCMP Economy reported that a similar disruption occurred on Monday night on the westbound line between the North Point terminus and Tin Lok Lane, with services stopping at about 6pm.

That Monday suspension lasted until 11.30pm, the outlet added.
