MS Reinsurance names Julien Mollinier chief underwriting officer
Mollinier will be based in Zurich and succeed Jörg Bruniecki, whose earlier CUO move leaves his role to be filled starting early 2027.
Zurich-domiciled reinsurer MS Reinsurance, part of MS&AD, appointed Julien Mollinier as Chief Underwriting Officer for Global Speciality Lines, with the change effective in early 2027.
MS Reinsurance also promoted Joscelin Burrer to Head of Financial Risks and appointed Pius Leupi as Lead Underwriter for Financial Risks. Burrer will be based in New York, while Leupi will be based in Zurich and work closely with Burrer and the broader financial risks team.
Mollinier succeeds Jörg Bruniecki, who assumed the CUO role earlier this year. The company said Mollinier has more than two decades of industry experience across financial risks, as well as property and casualty and speciality markets.
In a statement, MS Reinsurance said Mollinier brings strategic leadership plus technical and broad market experience to strengthen the Global Speciality Lines team and business. The company noted Burrer joined earlier this year and had served as interim Head of Financial Risks after Paul Murphy’s departure in April.
