Reframe Systems raises $40 million to expand construction tech
The startup says it has completed 10 homes and expects to deliver 114 more over the next year.
Reframe Systems, a construction startup backed by MassMutual Catalyst Funds under MassMutual Impact Investing, raised an additional $40 million in equity financing, after earlier total funding of $60 million.
Energy Impact Partners led the round, with participation from Counterpart Ventures, E12 Ventures, Global Brain, Thin Line Capital, UP.Partners and LACI Impact Fund. Existing investors including Eclipse, VoLo Earth, Cubit Capital, RA Capital Management, MassMutual Catalyst and Nor’easter also took part.
Founded in 2022 by former Amazon Robotics executives Vikas Enti, Felipe Polido and Aaron Small, Reframe develops software, robotics and small factories to produce components for customized homes. The company claims its approach can deliver homes three times faster and at 35% lower cost than traditional construction.
Reframe said it has completed 10 homes and expects to deliver another 114 units over the next year. It also plans to scale through a new factory in Billerica, Massachusetts, designed to produce up to 500 multifamily units or 250 single-family homes annually using less than $5 million of equipment.
