Spot bitcoin ETFs add $987 million in net inflows for third straight week
BlackRock’s IBIT led weekly inflows with $691.5 million, while spot ether ETFs also logged $218.4 million in net inflows.
U.S.-listed spot bitcoin ETFs pulled in $986.9 million in net inflows last week, extending positive flows to a third consecutive week as renewed institutional demand returned, according to The Block.
The Block cited SoSoValue data showing weekly net inflows rose from $924.5 million the prior week. BlackRock’s IBIT was the top contributor, with $691.5 million in net inflows for the week ended Sept. 4, and total weekly trading volume came to $14.5 billion, down from nearly $19 billion the week before.
Spot ether ETFs also posted three straight weeks of positive performance, adding $218.4 million in net inflows last week. Their weekly trading volume was $4.1 billion, down from $6.3 billion the previous week, The Block said.
The latest weekly gains followed strong August results, with spot bitcoin ETFs collecting $3.52 billion in monthly net inflows, their largest monthly positive flows since September 2025, and spot ether ETFs bringing in $1.85 billion last month, their strongest month since August 2025. Dominick John, an analyst at Zeus Research, told The Block that sustained ETF inflows point to institutional capital rebuilding exposure to bitcoin in a way that reflects spot demand.
