Bouwinvest opens €10.5B international real estate platform to external investors
The €18.5B firm is targeting institutional clients with a multiclient strategy spanning Europe, North America, and Asia Pacific, while citing opportunities in U.S. repriced sectors.
Bouwinvest Real Estate Investors plans to bring external investors into its international investment business, which manages a €10.5B portfolio. According to a statement, the €18.5B firm is offering potential institutional clients access to its long-running strategy across listed and private real estate markets in Europe, North America, and Asia Pacific.
The company said it already invests in North American cities including Vancouver, and it manages international real estate through a multiclient model in the Netherlands. It also manages international real estate investments for its shareholder and main client, pension fund bpfBouw, and is now seeking new investors for that platform.
Bouwinvest said it uses a mix of direct, fund, and listed-property investments, adjusting across regions and sectors as markets move. The firm indicated that investment managers linked to Dutch pension funds have been trying to win new clients as those pension funds approach peak AUM after decades of growth.
In remarks cited by Bisnow, Bouwinvest chief executive Mark Siezen said the firm continues to see opportunities in the United States despite ongoing economic and political volatility. He also highlighted sectors with demographic tailwinds, including senior living, multifamily, and data centers, and noted deals in repriced areas such as office and convenience-led retail.
