Chubb appoints digital distribution chief for small commercial
The hire will oversee expansion of Chubb's Marketplace platform and API-enabled tools that let independent agents quote, bind, and service small commercial accounts.
Chubb has appointed Jennifer Burnham as senior vice president and digital distribution and revenue officer for its North America small and lower midmarket division, signaling that the carrier is prioritizing digital growth in its commercial channels, according to Insurance Business.
Burnham will lead performance and growth across Chubb's digital and field distribution efforts, with a mandate that includes expanding the Chubb Marketplace platform and its API-enabled assets. Those tools support independent agents placing small commercial business by enabling them to quote, bind, and service accounts with the insurer.
Insurance Business says Burnham brings two decades of commercial P and C experience, including roles across underwriting, program management, and digital distribution. Her background includes 15 years at The Hartford, where she led small commercial construction practice work and held director-level underwriting and book consolidation responsibilities.
Chubb's Marketplace supports placement across standard and specialty lines, including business owner's policy, management and professional liability, workers' compensation, and commercial auto. The outlet also notes that independent agents accounted for 87.7% of commercial lines written premiums in the US in 2025, according to the Big I 2026 Market Share Report, published in June by the Independent Insurance Agents and Brokers of America.
