Huntington names Brant Standridge president after succession planning

Standridge, who joined Huntington in 2022, will oversee Huntington’s revenue-generating businesses while CEO Steve Steinour stays chairman and CEO.

HousingWire reports that Huntington Bancshares has appointed Brant Standridge as president after a multiyear succession planning process led by the company’s board, chairman and CEO Steve Steinour, and outside advisers.

In his expanded role, Standridge will manage Huntington’s revenue-producing lines, while Steinour remains chairman and CEO for several more years and continues to focus on strategy and execution.

Standridge joined Huntington in April 2022 as president of consumer and business banking, overseeing consumer, private and business banking operations including branch banking, business banking, consumer finance, insurance, regional banking, wealth management, and corporate marketing.

HousingWire also notes that Standridge led integration efforts tied to Huntington’s acquisitions of Veritex Community Bank and Cadence Bank, including the conversion of Cadence, the largest integration in Huntington’s history, which expanded the bank’s presence in Texas and the South.
