Strive adds 1,375 BTC as SATA nears $1 billion notional value
The company bought the bitcoin for an average $79,281 per BTC, pushing its holdings to 24,531 BTC.
Strive (ASST) said it purchased another 1,375 bitcoin for about $109 million, bringing its total holdings to 24,531 BTC as it continues to climb public bitcoin treasury rankings. The BTC was acquired at an average price of $79,281 per bitcoin during Aug. 31 to Sept. 4, according to a Form 8-K filing. Strive also tied the latest purchase to its SATA perpetual preferred stock, noting that 70% of the capital raised during the week came from SATA issuances. SATA reached nearly $999 million in notional volume outstanding, and the share count increased by 921,511 shares to nearly 10 million shares outstanding.
Strive cash and equivalents rose from $183.5 million to $202.6 million, while its 505,000-share position in Strategy's STRC preferred stock was unchanged. With about 16 weeks left in 2026, Strive would still need to buy roughly 1,200 BTC per week to surpass Twenty One Capital as the second-largest public bitcoin treasury, according to CEO Matt Cole.
