Corn futures slip 1 to 3 1/4 cents as conditions soften

The US corn crop was 76% dented as of September 6, with 46% rated good to excellent, down 1 point week over week.

Corn futures fell across most front months on Tuesday, with losses of 1 to 3 1/4 cents, according to Yahoo Finance.

The outlet said the CmdtyView national average cash corn price was down 3 3/4 cents to $4.87 3/4.

This week's Crop Progress report showed 76% of the US corn crop dented as of September 6, with 25% mature and harvest 5% complete.

Yahoo Finance also cited Tuesday's Export Inspections, with corn shipments at 1.662 MMT for the week of September 3, up 10.11% from the prior week and 15.2% above the same week last year, and Mexico the largest destination at 399,572 MT.
