Diptyque doubles NYC office footprint with 16 East 34th Street lease
The company will move into the entire 17th floor at 16 East 34th Street early next year, expanding from its 35th Street Garment District space.
Diptyque, the French luxury fragrance brand, is more than doubling its New York City office footprint as it relocates within Midtown South to 16 East 34th Street in Manhattan’s Murray Hill, Commercial Observer reports.
The brand signed an 18,017-square-foot, full-floor lease at the newly renovated 22-story tower, taking up residence on the building’s entire 17th floor early next year.
Commercial Observer adds that the deal moves Diptyque eastward from its current home at ATCO Properties & Management’s 240-246 West 35th Street, where it has occupied 8,097 square feet since 2019.
The report notes that the asking rent for the 10-year deal was not disclosed, while Midtown South office rents averaged $80.73 per square foot in August, according to Cushman & Wakefield data. The tower recently underwent renovations including a new roof deck and an upgraded lobby, with tenants that include Corporate Suites and Tumi.
