Kama Realty proposes buying up to 3.2 million SRF shares from parent
The proposed internal promoter-group deal would be completed after four working days from notice, with transfer expected no later than September 30, 2026.
Kama Realty, a Delhi-based real estate company, has filed a proposal to acquire up to 3,200,000 equity shares of chemical and polymer maker SRF Limited from its parent company, Kama Holdings. The filing said the purchase would represent up to 1.08% of Kama Realty’s paid-up capital.
The shares would be acquired in one or more tranches, with the purchase price tied to the closing price from the trading day before each tranche’s execution date. The filing also set a cap on the price, stating the per-share purchase price would not be more than 25% above the volume-weighted average market price over the 60 trading days preceding the notice date, which stood at Rs 2,710.70 on India’s National Stock Exchange.
The company said the transfer is expected to take place after four working days from the date of intimation and no later than September 30, 2026. It added that the transaction is an internal transfer within the promoter group and would not change promoters’ overall shareholding or ultimate beneficial ownership, and SRF would remain a subsidiary of Kama Holdings.
LiveMint Markets reported that SRF shares have been under pressure, down 3.95% over the past week and 3.69% over the past month. On a year-to-date basis, SRF shares have fallen 17.78%, and they are down 15.60% over the past year, while returns over longer periods remain positive, including a 21.68% gain over five years.
