Alliant Insurance Services hires Jeff Black as benefits group senior VP

Jeff Black, based in Chicago, brings more than 30 years of experience in human capital, total rewards, and mergers and acquisitions to Alliant Employee Benefits.

Alliant Insurance Services has named Jeff Black senior vice president within its Employee Benefits Group, expanding leadership for benefits strategy and client advisory work. Risk & Insurance reports that Black is based in Chicago and will advise a portfolio of clients on benefits strategies tied to growth, organizational transformation, and other business initiatives.

In an announcement shared by Risk & Insurance, Alliant said Black has more than 30 years of experience advising organizations on human capital and total rewards, including work across program design, vendor negotiations, and data analysis. The company also pointed to Black’s background in mergers and acquisitions advisory.

Alliant Employee Benefits President Kevin Overbey said Black’s role reflects an ability to align human capital strategy with broader organizational priorities, while executive vice president and managing director Mike Malouf said the hire strengthens and supports growth of its Midwest benefits team. Risk & Insurance added that Black previously served as a partner at a global employee benefits consulting firm with leadership roles in both health and M&A advisory areas.
