Harrison Street hires former PGIM staff for senior housing platform

The asset manager said the hires will bolster its health care and senior housing operations as it has invested $16 billion and acquired 46,000 units in the sector over about 20 years.

Harrison Street Asset Management said it has hired Jon Glass, Michael Corsini, and Hardie Jackson to help lead its health care and senior housing asset management operations, with all three coming from PGIM Real Estate. The move follows Harrison Street’s earlier announcement of three leadership appointments made two weeks before.

In a statement, Harrison Street global head of asset management and real estate Ben Mohns said the additions reflect the firm’s focus on building out its senior housing platform as it expands. Harrison Street said Glass spent the prior eight years at PGIM leading asset management strategy for its senior housing portfolio and will join as a managing director alongside Brandon Metzler in a similar role.

Harrison Street added that the three executives bring a track record managing institutional-quality senior housing portfolios. The firm also pointed to what it described as demographic tailwinds and growing investor interest in senior housing.

Harrison Street said senior housing has been a major focus, noting it has invested $16 billion and acquired 46,000 units in the asset class throughout its roughly 20-year history.
