Hong Kong expects 1.29 million mainland visitors for National Day week
The Immigration Department said average daily arrivals are expected to rise more than 5.0% versus last year.
Hong Kong is expected to welcome about 1.29 million mainland Chinese travellers during the National Day “golden week” break, as city authorities prepare for a surge in visitors, according to SCMP Economy.
The Immigration Department said the average daily number of visitor arrivals is expected to surpass last year’s figure by more than 5.0%.
Officials also plan to step up crowd management and tighten supervision of tour agencies and retail outlets ahead of the increased flow of visitors, the outlet reported.
